I can see the gears turning, grinding away, progressing in their circular, logical manner; it's true - we can all feel them, yet the face of it all is lost to us, even the immediate is often hidden by a layer of grease and paint - lies sometimes, sometimes just our very own natural hopes and dreams, often even the most earnest attempts at objectivity and systematic approaches fail, merely scratching at the very surface of the un-truths or illusions - failure is the human legacy, much like adaptation, pain and suffering - taboo subjects for most, having succumbed to a complacent state of ignorance, supported by the system that feeds off the deaf, and threatens to be supported entirely by itself - a vicious circle - blind leading the blind. And yet, among the charade of modern daily life, something honest and human survives, persists in the minds, proverbial hearts - emotional epicentres - a compassion, some protective mechanism which, even when placed within a world of subjective minds manages to hold society together, granting us all no small blessing. The altar of greed never goes clean of fresh blood - lives, people, even time lost - traded away for slight comforts - a thicker blanket for a greater sense of security; though in truth we all know, Greed takes more than it's fair share...
